This is the layout I taught at Studio J Boot Camp!

Watch my tutorials to learn these techniques or schedule a one-on-one Studio J session with me.

There are so many benefits to memory keeping the Studio J way!

I love that Studio J allows us unlimited My Stickease and embellishments. We can even resize them...can't do that with our classic supplies.

Use Studio J to create hybrid pages.

Let me show you how to dress up a Studio J page with a little bling! I added Bitty Sparkles to this page.

Let your creativity shine with Studio J!

Take my face-to-face classes or watch my video tutorials to learn advanced Studio J techniques such as creating your own background paper using text boxes.

Studio J is your best friend if you are short on time.

Drop in your photos, color the toggle accents, add a title and journaling, print...it really is that easy! Let me show you how.

Why I'm Thankful for Studio J #3--Crop Bag is Always Packed

My crop bag (aka laptop) is always packed with Studio J!  Life is hectic.  Emergencies happen.  Yet, I want to capture memories in the moment.  Because all I need is the camera on my cell phone and a laptop with an Internet connection, I can scrapbook wherever I am!  This is a layout I created tonight from photos my mom took this morning as my sister was being admited to the hospital to have open heart surgery.  All I needed to bring from home was my laptop.  I now have a record of how we all felt today...so very grateful that her heart is beating and she is breathing on her own!  I love that this kit is called Miracle, because that's how I feel today.  The doctors perform these miracles every day...I hope they know how much families appreciate what they do.  My sister means the world to me, and I'm so thankful that she is on the road to recovery.  I'm also thankful that Studio J allowed me to capture this moment in time as it happened.

Why I’m Thankful for Studio J #2—No Hassle Photo Developing

I don’t know how you feel about it, but I don’t think there are enough hours in the day.  For about ten years after college, I could live on 4 hours of sleep a night, but things change once you hit your mid-thirties.  I still don’t get enough sleep, so I can’t be bothered with a lot of pre-planning when it comes to my scrapbooking time.  When I have a minute, I want to get right down to crafting.  I certainly don’t want to spend time figuring out what size or color my photos need to be, place an order, and then go pick them up or wait for them to be mailed to me.  Life is too short, people!  With Studio J, I have the perfectly sized photo every time!

Why I’m Thankful for Studio J #1—Text Boxes
I’ve talked about text boxes a lot in my tutorials, but this simple tip bears repeating, because it makes Studio J such a versatile program.  I can use text boxes to create journaling strips, ribbon clusters, change the shape of my layout, and mat photos.  I can rotate text boxes, send them behind photos and other text boxes, and layer as many as I want.  I can fill text boxes with vellum, cardstock, and patterned paper.  I can even leave my text boxes transparent so that I can place text or distressing on top of photos.  Text boxes are our friends, so watch this quick tip and then log in to Studio J to try it yourself!

CTMH Consultants Rock!

I absolutely love being a Close To My Heart consultant!  I have met so many fantastic people who love CTMH and life as much as I do.  When you join my CTMH team, you are joining the larger CTMH family.  You will have a chance to attend some of the best training events ever! They teach us great business skills plus shower us with products and AMAZING art classes. Five years later, I still learn something new ever time.

To top it off, each event gives us the chance to meet women (and men) who are as passionate about paper crafting and memory keeping as we are. These are people I never would have met had it not been for CTMH! Here is a video from Bren Yule's Leadershare. I didn't have a chance to attend this event, but I have met Bren at several other events and she is a hoot!

I hope you will join my team and attend the 2012 Convention in Dallas with me; we will have a blast!

Join my team and earn a cruise!

Like many consultants, I joined Close To My Heart to get a discount on the products I love.  My goal was to make enough to meet my quarterly minimums so that I could support my scrapbooking habit.  What I didn't realize was that CTMH is much more than products!  The professional training I have received as a consultant has had a positive impact on my career as a teacher and in my personal life.  Add to that all the incredible people I have met and friends I have made, and I can honestly say that I will never leave CTMH!

I would love for you to join my team and share in the excitement of being a CTMH consultant.  Whether you want to join as a hobbiest for the discount or as a business builder to supplement your family income, you are welcome at CTMH!

The enrollment fee is only $99, and you'll receive the New Consultant Kit pictured above with business essentials and new products valued at over $280.  As if that wasn't enough, CTMH is throwing in one of the following add-on collections for FREE!  That's an additional $80 to $130 in product!

Clearly, I am a cheerleader for Studio J, and the fact that you can get all of this product plus a 12-month membership for the cost of that membership simply blows my mind!  What are you waiting for...SIGN UP TODAY!  Sorry, was I shouting?  I just want to make sure you get in on this great deal before 11:59pm MDT on October 31, 2011.

Okay, one final incentive for you...CTMH just launched the earning period for a Southern Caribbean Cruise to set sail in February of 2013.  We have from October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012 to qualify.  I'm looking for 10 people who want to make it Straight to the Top to help me earn this cruise.  In return, I will work to help you earn the cruise, as well.  Wouldn't it be awesome if our entire team earned this together?!

Calling all Cricut fans!

Calling all Cricut fans!

If you haven't had a chance to check out Close To My Heart's Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge, you are missing out!  This versatile cartridge has 700 unique images and is perfect for card makers, scrapbookers, and home decor enthusiasts.  I honestly didn't think I needed a Cricut since I had a Silhouette, but then I saw this cartridge and was sold.  Now I'm the proud owner of two die cutting machines...LOL!

Book a party or workshop with me in October to see an Art Philosophy demo and make-n-take or project.  If you can't wait that long--and, frankly, who can blame you!--follow this link to purchase the Art Philosophy bundle on my website.  It comes with 3 exclusive coordinating stamp sets and Dimensional Elements chipboard shapes.  I could not be happier with this bundle!

As if that wasn't enough, Jeanette Lynton is sharing a Shape-a-Day from  Art Philosophy on her blog this month.  Be sure to visit it daily to admire the beautiful artwork such as this cute card which was posted on the 1st!

Here's another Quick Tip video to show you how I created the LO I posted earlier today.

I forgot to mention in the video that I'm using the Moon Doggie kit to scrapbook my Hawaii photos.
