Take my face-to-face classes or watch my video tutorials to learn advanced Studio J techniques such as creating your own background paper using text boxes.
There are seriously a million things I should be doing right now...like eating breakfast...but I can't tear myself away from Studio J! Here is the first 1/2 of a No Limits layout I created this morning. I used a free layered Photoshop file I downloaded from the Internet ages ago and clipped my photos to it. I then turned off all the layers except for the photos and journaling strips. I saved it as a PNG file (12x12 @ 300dpi) and uploaded it to Studio J. I dropped it into the No Limits layout which defaulted to a white background. Text boxes to the rescue! I recreated the original Photoshop file by drawing boxes and sending them behind my photos. I even came up with a tricky way to mimic a drop shadow behind the two paper pieces behind the photos. I'll make a quick tip video about it later. Just thought I would share how awesome this No Limits "pattern" is...it really makes me happy that I can use all of CTMH's licensed images but place my photos wherever I want them! Woo hoo!
I love the launch of a new Idea Book! As a consultant, I get to preview it before the Idea Book launches to customers, and sometimes it is so hard to keep quiet about all the amazing new products. Clearly that was the case with the Art Philosophy Cricut bundle; luckily, CTMH released the video that I posted, so I felt justified in sharing it with all of you. Yet, now the Idea Book is live, so we can share in the excitement.
This video is the first in my quick tip series--videos that share a fun tip or fact about Studio J without going into a full tutorial. I show you how to view the Idea Book online, take a look at the new kits & patterns, and view the papers before you place an order for your classic supplies.
I tell you, I'm so glad that I have a few weeks left before school starts, because I'm overwhelmed with all the crafting I want to do! My Cricut arrived, I have access to all the kits on Studio J, the Typeset Workshop on the Go is calling my name, plus I need to get ready for my Open House on Saturday, August 13. This is an exciting time to be a CTMH Consultant, so let me know if you would like to join my team!
